Three live contractor websites we built for an electrician, a plumber and a landscaper, with the part worth copying from each one.
Looking at real contractor websites is the fastest way to see what separates a site that brings in calls from one that just sits there. Below are three we built for an electrician, a plumber and a landscaper. All three are live, so you can open them on your phone and try calling or requesting a quote the way a customer would. For each one we've noted the part worth copying and what the site has done in Google so far.
Trapani Electric is a licensed residential and commercial electrician in Morris County, New Jersey, working across five counties. The site has 18 residential service pages covering panel upgrades, rewiring, EV charger installation, generator installation, lighting and more, plus seven commercial pages for office, retail, restaurant and generator work. Residential and commercial live in separate navigation menus, and five county pages with 23 town pages carry the service area.
What to copy: give the profitable jobs their own pages. EV chargers and panel upgrades are separate searches with less competition than "electrician near me". The site launched in April 2026 and recorded 5,344 Google impressions in August. Read the Trapani case study.

Pelican Plumbing is a residential plumbing and drain company in Mahwah, New Jersey that had no website when it started. The site has eight service pages, one each for general repairs, drain cleaning, water heaters, toilets and fixtures, emergency plumbing, gas lines, water filtration and heating. A schedule service page lets a homeowner book a visit without hunting for a phone number, and the Google profile is connected to the site.
What to copy: add a way to book in writing. A one truck operation can't answer every call live, and a schedule service page catches the jobs that would otherwise go to voicemail. Read the Pelican case study.

MC Outdoor Services does landscaping, pavers and irrigation across Union, Somerset, Morris and Middlesex County in New Jersey. The site has six service pages for landscaping, paver installation, patio installation, hardscaping, irrigation and mulching, with separate residential and commercial landing pages and four county pages under a service areas hub. Hardscaping leads the service list because it's the higher value work, and the Our Work page shows finished patios.
What to copy: keep maintenance customers and patio customers on separate paths. Google impressions went from 281 in July 2026 to 2,643 in August, and the average position moved from 79.7 to 60.2 in that month. Read the MC Outdoor case study.
Each of these sites gives every service its own page, so a search for a water heater or a paver patio lands on a page about that job.
Residential and commercial work are separated wherever a company does both, because the two buyers want different things.
The service area is spelled out with county and town pages, so a customer can tell right away whether you come to them.
The phone number and the quote or booking form can be reached from every screen, and the photos are the company's own work.
