Plumbing and HVAC

Plumbing and HVAC SEO for shops that do both

SiteHike does SEO for plumbing and HVAC companies that handle both trades under one name. A homeowner with no hot water and a homeowner with no heat run different searches, sometimes on the same day, and a combined shop needs to show up for both. We build one website with separate pages for each trade, get it ranking in the towns you cover, keep your Google listing current, and text back the calls you miss while you're on a job. You pay one flat monthly price and nothing up front.

The proof

A plumbing company already runs on one of our sites

Pelican Plumbing and eleven other home service companies run on sites we build and manage. Plumbing and HVAC search is won in the map pack, one town at a time. More about how plumbers get calls is on our plumbers industry page. The numbers below show what that work produced.

What we do

Heating calls and plumbing calls each need their own pages

A combined shop has twice as many services to rank for, and each trade has its own emergencies and its own larger jobs. There are six jobs on this list, and we check each of them every month.

Website Design

One website for plumbing and HVAC, included in the plan

We built Pelican Plumbing's website, and a combined plumbing and HVAC site is built the same way with a second set of service pages for heating and cooling. It's part of the monthly plan, there's no build fee, and it's live in 30 days.

Built for the emergency search

The burst pipe, no heat and no AC pages have a click to call button at the top, because that visitor needs a phone number fast.

Seasonal work gets its own pages

Furnace tune ups in the fall, AC service in the spring and water heater replacement all year each get a page, so you can rank for the work that fills the slower weeks between seasons.

Separate paths for commercial and residential

Commercial and residential work get separate pages and separate forms, so a commercial inquiry doesn't get mixed in with a dripping faucet.

Our work

Sites we have built for plumbing and other home service companies

The Pelican Plumbing build is first in the group below, and the other two are live client sites from related trades. We haven't built for an HVAC company yet, and the plumbing build is the closest example of how a combined site would work.

FIVE STARS for these guys. They brought the vision of my website for my new plumbing business to life and it's exactly what I wanted it to be. They let me stick to the plumbing and listened to how I envisioned the site to be.

FAQ

What plumbing and HVAC owners ask us

Plain answers to the questions plumbers ask us most often.

What does plumbing and HVAC marketing cost?

Our plans run $347 to $697 a month, published on the pricing page, and there's no build fee. If you want Google Ads, management is part of the Booked plan, and the ad spend goes to Google on top. You can compare the yearly total to what a season of bought leads costs you and decide based on the numbers.

Should plumbing and HVAC be on one website or two?

One website is usually the better choice. Your reviews, your Google listing and the links pointing to your site all build up in one place, and a customer who calls you about a water heater can find your AC service on the same site. What matters is that each trade has its own pages, so Google can rank you for both.

Have you built for an HVAC company?

Not yet. We built Pelican Plumbing's website, and the review above is from that owner. An HVAC site uses the same structure: a page for each service, pages for your towns and a Google listing that's kept current. We'd rather say that plainly than show you someone else's HVAC site.

Which category should be primary on my Google listing?

Choose the trade you want the most calls for. A shop that mostly does plumbing would choose Plumber and add HVAC contractor as an additional category, and a heating and cooling shop would do the reverse. Our guide to choosing Google Business Profile categories explains how categories affect where you show up.

Will you run my Google Ads too?

On the Booked plan, yes. Ads can make sense early on for urgent work like no heat and burst pipe calls. In a smaller service area, a clean listing and a good map pack position often bring in those calls without paid spend, so we look at that first and add ads only where the numbers support it.

What happens if I want to leave?

After twelve months of service the website is yours to keep. Your domain and your Google Business Profile are yours from day one, so you're never locked out of your own business. We'd rather keep you as a client because the results are good than because a contract requires it.

More trade playbooks: electrician SEO, HVAC SEO, landscaping SEO, painter SEO, roofing SEO, pressure washing marketing and window cleaning marketing. We also have pages for pest control, moving companies, garage door companies, remodeling contractors, tree services and construction companies. The general approach is covered on SEO for contractors.

This page is for shops that do both trades. If you only do one, see SEO for plumbers or SEO for HVAC companies.

See where you rank for plumbing and HVAC searches

Try it yourself first. Search for emergency plumber and then for furnace repair from a town ten minutes from your shop, and see whether your company shows up in the map results for each one. If it doesn't, that's the gap the free audit measures across every town you serve, along with what your Google listing is missing and what we'd fix first. The report is yours to keep either way.
