Electrician marketing ideas that make the phone ring

Electrical work splits into three kinds of customers, and they find you three different ways. Most electrician marketing fails because it treats them as one.

The emergency searcher

Power out in half the house, searching electrician near me from a dark kitchen. This one is won in the map pack: a complete Google Business Profile, strong recent reviews, and a listing that makes it obvious you cover their town. If your profile was set up once and abandoned, this is the first thing to fix, and the fastest to move.

The project customer

Panel upgrades, EV charger installs, whole-house rewires. These get researched for weeks. The homeowner wants to know what a panel swap involves, roughly what it costs, and whether you have done it before. A real page for each of those services, written in plain language with photos from actual jobs, puts you in the running for work that pays properly. An EV charger page is the standout right now: high intent, growing search volume, and most electrician sites still do not have one.

The referred customer

They already have your name from a neighbor. They still look you up before calling. What they find, a 4.9 with recent reviews or a bare listing with a six year old photo, decides whether the referral converts. Reviews are not just ranking fuel, they are the close.

What ties it together

A review request after every job, sent by text with a direct link. A text back on every missed call, because you cannot answer from a crawl space and the next electrician on the list will. And one honest number checked monthly: where you rank in each town you serve, and how many calls came in.

Where not to spend first

Shared lead platforms sell the same homeowner to three shops and charge you for the privilege of racing to the phone. Some electricians make the math work. Most are better off building the owned system first and letting the leads land somewhere they cannot be resold.

This whole system, the trade-built website, the map pack work, the town pages, the follow up, is what we run for electricians. The full playbook with real pricing is on our electrician SEO page, and the proof of what it looks like live is Trapani Electric, an electrician site we built and manage.
