Reviews

How to ask customers for reviews, what to do about a bad one, and why a steady flow of new reviews matters more than a perfect score.

Nearly every owner we work with knows reviews matter and doesn't like asking for them. That discomfort is the main problem, and a better script doesn't fix it.

Timing does. Ask while the customer is standing in front of the finished job and still pleased with it, send a direct link before you leave the driveway, and give them something specific to write about. Owners who do that get a steady flow of reviews. Owners who email three days later mostly get silence.

The other half of this topic is the review you didn't want. You'll get one eventually. We cover how to answer it, why a calm public reply often does more for you than an unbroken run of five stars, and why asking after every completed job works better than asking only when one went unusually well.
